Molotow GraFX mini review
February 10th, 2011Ok, they are at last here!
First of all these markers rock!
According to me they are almost as good as the original Copic markers but to a fraction of that price.
When I picked up the first marker I instantly noticed the rubbery feel of the marker and the this really make the grip of the marker extremely good.
It also has a bit of a diffrent form of the body that I personally really like!
The markers have two nibs, one broad and one fine exactly as copic, touch or alpha markers.
The first thing i noticed when testing is that they do not tend to "bleed" as much as copic or touch markers, don't misunderstand me they do bleed but not as much.
The first thing I didn't like is that there are to few colors, of the 60 markers in my pack(the big one) 24 of them are greys, I want more colors, especially blues and greens!
As soon as I have made a real sketch I will upload it so you can see them in action, but you should know that any good artist can make a good sketch even with bad markers so don't take the sketch as a mark of how god they are it more just to show the colors on paper.
This was a really fast and short review but I really like these markers and I recommend everyone to test them and see if they fit your style.

Mini review of the new Montana Black colors!
August 5th, 2009Jelly from Sweden was nice enough to test the new Montana Black cans from Montana in Germany and here is what he thinks of them.
First of all the cans look awesome in its raw black design with orange logo on.
According to Montana they should be more silent, better covering, MATT colors with more attitude then before.
The first test of the colors where made directly over an old piece without any foundation paint.
I used three different green/blue colors for filing and they performed great for that, a little bit dusty in the edges but it worked as expected.
Sadly there where (as expected on a legal wall) a lot of toys runing around shouting and kicking on stuff so I couldn't concentrate on the piece but the end result was okey either way.
For outlines I went for a darker blue/green color and it worked great exept that it was a little bit to wide for my taste, clean nice lines without any dust and with good covering.
I also tested to paint over an other brand of paint to see if it reacted with it and i am happy to say that it didn't react with Clash(the red in the 3D) or with Molotow(the pink in the background and the ,,09,,) this is great for us that loves to mix brands.
Then I went for the two different second outline colors green and dark green, I was afraid that these colors wouldnt cover over the others so good but they did, especially the light green where exeptionaly good.
When it came to the highlights it is as usual, Im terrified that I will destroy the piece ![]()
The white was okey but I would love it if you had a lower pressuer can for this with the same covering, the white was a bit dusty but nothing more than that.
The result!

One thing to consider is that this is a highpressure can, sure thay say that its both high and lowpressure thanks to the valve but it is clearly a highpressure can and it will be wider than for example a Molotow Premium with the same cap.
For faster missions this can is idealy and I actualy used a Pink dot fatcap for the filing and it covered great and this isnt usual when you use a pinkdot fatcap often you have to go and fix missed areas but not with these!
So how do they compare to other brands? For simple letters or letters with not so much details in them I higly recomend these cans and when it comes to covering they easely compares with Molotow Premium or IronLak but the cans are notable wider with the same cap on for example a Ironlak can.
When it comes to spraydust they are okay, as any other brand there are some colors that are better than others and I think there always will be that way.
